Lacisep logo and registry number of the Madrid's Community Laboratory Network

The Cytometry and Cell Sepration laboratory is part of the Madrid's Community Laboratory Network. Its goal is to develop flow cytometry applications for our scientists and collaborators by designing services that meet their specific requirements.

These services include routine cytometry testing, technique management courses, and research collaborations. The laboratory enables both the processing/marking of samples and the planning/design of new analysis and cell separation experiments. Lacisep is integrated into the network of accredited laboratories of the Community of Madrid and is a national benchmark in the analysis and purification of stem cells, especially Hematopoietic Stem Cells.

Our laboratory is represented in the field of hematopoietic and epithelial cell biology supporting a variety of investigator research programs. In order to facilitate productive research and collaborations, the laboratory maintains a suite of reagents, including antibodies against the cell surface and intracellular targets, nucleic acid dyes, and apoptosis markers. These reagents are available to laboratory users allowing small scale pilot studies.

LACISEP complies with the standards of ISO 9001:2015 and the scope of the activities carried out includes:

  • Obtaining, handling, processing and analysis of samples for the study of T lymphocytes by CD3 / CD4 / CD8 surface marking.

  • Obtaining, handling, processing and analysis of samples for the study of hematopoietic progenitors by surface marking CD34 / CD38 / CD45.

  • Obtaining, handling, processing and analysis of samples for the study of erythroid progenitors by surface marking CD71 / CD235.

  • Obtaining, handling, processing and analysis of samples for the study of megakaryocytes by means of CD41 / CD42b surface marking.

  • Obtaining, handling, processing and analysis of samples for the study of hematopoietic mature lineage by surface marking CD3 / CD19 / CD15 / CD14.
